F.A.Q.

What does DNS Stands for?

DNS stands for DEFINITIVE NO SWAP. Our old DNS-1001 was the first chip to have the ability to auto configure itself without the need to pre-select the PS2 version over which it was going to be installed.

What does it mean that your code is optimized?

Our code is 100% developed from our programmers. Many other chips in the market are produced with a Cloned Code or with patches hacked from other chips. Because this chip are not "self developed", the people involved don't have the ability to "CLEAN" the code and remove many of the problem that other chips have.

Ever wondered why some chips FAIL 5-6 boots every 10?

You must consider that every version of PS2 is different from the other, and only a full and clear understanding of the inside processes of the PS2 enables us to make a code that works 100% all the times and with every console.

I want some games, can you tell me where to find them?

We do not condone piracy. Our chips are intended to enable you to make copies of original games you own, and to play original imported games on your own console (in those countries that allow you to do so).

If you like a game buy it and support the peoples behind it, to give them the possibility to develop more great games.

What is MACROVISION ?

MACROVISION is the protection present on your PS2 that avoids you to make a back-up copy of your DVD.

You can play them, but you cannot Back-Up them on tape or your PC.

By giving you the MACROVISION=OFF option on our chips, we give you the possibility to make back-up copies of all your favorite DVD directly from your PS2 console.

I heard that there are V8 consoles on the market, is it true?

V8 consoles are now limited only to HK, Taiwan and USA consoles.

No PAL V8 is present in the market up to date, and will not for some more time.

IF and when they will become available we will have the

No boring tricks are needed, NO NEED to push reset button until game is loaded, just a simple and quick double reset for PS1 games.

Do I need special equipment to install your chip on a PS2?

NO it is not needed. If you already installed other modchips, you will find the "MATRIX DNS" series of modchip even more easy to install.

What is GREEN FIX for v7-v8?

The "GREEN FIX for v7-v8" fixes a protection protection (?) in the PS2, that does not let you vision DVD movies in your PS2 console with an RGB cable.

You are obliged to use a "Scart Cable" to vision DVD, but you get a much inferior quality that when you use an RGB cable.

Our Fix, lets you use the same cable (RGB) to play and view your preferred DVD on your PS2.

Will this Modchip Damage my PS2?

Absolutely not, this chip works TOGETHER with your PS2, not against it.

The Modchip simply takes care to help your PS2 to recognize and use your backups and your original imported games.

Will this modchip Damage my Laser Optics?

Absolutely not, thes chip does not have any effect on the Laser Optics.

We suggest you also to make copies of your original games on a good quality media (DVD/DVD-R/CD). A poor quality media or a dirty media, will put under stress the laser of your PS2 and make it deteriorate sooner.

How stable is this Modchip?

Enough to make you forget that you have a modchip inside your PS2.
